I've been a football fanatic ever since my five-year-old self saw Michael Owen score *that* goal against Argentina. My dad's a Liverpool fan so I never looked back from there. As an avid watcher, player, and writer of the game, I suppose betting on it was always an inevitability at some point. It started off with a weekly accumulator and the odd punt on national tournaments, but with the rise of player markets and custom bet builders in recent years I feel there's more fun, control and value to be had these days, which is what it's all about, really. I'll always ensure I research the stats and probabilities behind my tips (where possible) so that my experienced eyes aren't playing tricks on me!41 Articles

I've been into football since first going to Man United as an 8 year old, lucky enough to have season ticket in the mid 90's. I've been into horse racing since first going to Doncaster as a kid and I love a day out at the races. Sports betting and writing has been a passion of mine for the last 20 years, just love sharing thoughts with people and there is no bigger buzz than knowing my work has helped somebody make a few quid. I'm also into Darts and Snooker, love watching and playing both but I watch much better than I play, although I did once get my hands on the World Snooker Championship trophy at the Crucible. My most recent sporting highs have come from watching T20 cricket with my son, we just love watching Derbyshire beat Yorkshire every time. My 23 years of working life to date have been spent in the newspaper/news media business and the betting industry including working at football grounds/racecourses.37 Articles

Michael is an English 8 ball and American pool player. He's competed at international level representing England, and played in many of the big pool events. Michael is also a pundit in almost all sports but specifically covers pool, snooker and darts. As well as punditry, he's also done live commentary on streams of various pool matches and competitions. Outside of this Michael enjoys watching the mighty Green Army Plymouth Argyle (his words) and has a fondness for following Arsenal too.28 Articles

I first got into tennis betting when Andy Murray started to emerge as a top level player. Inspired by reading the likes of Moneyball and Soccernomics, I have improved my betting by using statistical analysis to help indicate where the value lies. Over the years I have written for tennis betting websites, and focus my writing on outright markets where I have had three successful seasons since I started betting these markets in 2016.27 Articles

I think like most 17-year-olds, especially with my group of mates at the time, we spent most Saturday mornings outside the bookies waiting for the older lot to put our 50p, 20-fold accas on. Most of my early betting experience comes from football, but that soon developed into the NFL and in more recent years NBA, as their markets expanded. Betting on the both the NBA and NFL, for me, are much more statistical-based. I find it easier to determine some markets with these leagues than I do with football. Especially in the NBA. I’ve been a Tottenham season ticket folder since I can remember, and I’m sure my dad would have kicked me out the house had I not been. With NFL, since the 2004 Superbowl loss to the Patriots, I’ve been a Carolina Panthers fan, as well as following the Orlando Magic in the NBA.22 Articles

I got into betting just through my love of watching and playing sport and wanted to use my knowledge to make money. I mainly bet on player prop bets in football as I believe that’s where the most value is and also the odd poke on the 1x2, Goalscorer and BTTS-like markets. I am a Leicester City season ticket holder and love watching football and cricket live or on tv.21 Articles

Bio: I have been betting since I could as the thrill of winning an 18-fold £1 accumulator always excited me. My love of European football, particularly Italian and German, has lead me to go down a path of finding value within these leagues which I believe that many betting companies may miss. I am also a long-suffering Everton fan, having had a season ticket since I was four. Football has always meant a lot to me, which is probably why my life peaked when I scored two goals in a 3-2 win at the age of 15 against Liverpool's academy. Life has been on a downward trajectory since that memorable moment!20 Articles

Landing the luckiest 1096/1 Champions League four-fold in 2014 had me well and truly hooked in terms of football betting, thanks to a 91st minute Islam Slimani goal. Since that 4-2 Sporting Lisbon win, as data reared its head in football and became widely accessible to the average punter, a near-on obsession for stats and the underlying metrics somehow elevated a punt on the footy into more than just a hobby. Now betting in a full-time capacity, the goal is to fund following England home and away, and have enough in the kitty for a takeaway on a Saturday!19 Articles

I had a strange introduction to the world of gambling. My early summer holidays I was packed off to my grandad's for a few weeks - little did I know that those weeks were spent inside the local Ladbrokes listening to the afternoon racing, so you could say the world of betting has been ingrained from an early age. For my sins, I'm a Tottenham supporter. I've supported them through thick and thin....mainly thin.17 Articles
