Golf holiday salesman by day and football and sports enthusiast by night. I first got into betting placing football accumulators at university, looking into stats and listening to betting podcasts. Since my university days I have branched out my betting angles looking for value in different markets. My favourite markets tend to be player props but am always looking for value. I am a passionate Scunthorpe United fan and as well as football enjoy golf and darts.15 Articles

I first got in to betting when going on a work trip to the November meeting Cheltenham 2011. The whole group backed Uncle Junior at 5/1 to win the Cross Country and he got the better of the favourite in a battling finish. The rest was history and I was hooked. We went back for the Festival that season and I have been following horses ever since. National Hunt I generally like to target ante-post looking for horses who have done well at the Festival and have the scope to do well the next year. I often put a bet on 6 months + in advance to get a price. I have been running an ante-post blog to share those selections as I put them on. In the summer I like to be out watching football, horse racing and socialising a lot more in the weather. So I am not as focussed so mainly pick the better meetings such as Royal Ascot . I also keep a keen eye on the graded international meetings in France, Meydan, USA on the flat or the festivals for the national Hunt scene. I like to find value in any bet wether it be a favourite, each way play, match bet etc. Looking outside the obvious often pays well. I enjoy watching football and will have the odd punt but that would be following betting advice rather than my own. I support Toronto FC as that is where half of my family live so I normally see a couple of games a year when visiting.12 Articles

The first bet I ever placed myself was actually the day before my 18th birthday, apparently I just couldn’t wait that extra 24 hours. Since then, I’ve written betting content for some of the biggest betting websites and bookmakers in the UK, as well as once growing a following of over 65,000 on a tips account I managed. Oldham Athletic supporter, FC Barcelona follower, Detroit Lions sufferer.10 Articles

I was brought up in a household that likes a gamble every now and then so betting was introduced to me at a young age. The earliest bet I recall was on the 2009 Grand Mational which then led to a £1 football acca every Saturday afternoon. Growing up, my idol was Thierry Henry and as a result I supported Arsenal throughout my childhood but nowadays I follow my hometown club, Brighton and Hove Albion. Football is my main preference to bet on as that’s where my knowledge lies, although I do also have a small casual interest in darts, boxing and UFC. Hobbies include playing/watching football, going to the gym and attending festivals/music events.10 Articles

An aspiring sports journalist, David has written for a number of websites in the past, primarily providing football previews and bets for leagues around Europe. However, over the past few years, MMA and the UFC has usurped David's interest in other sports and come to the fore resulting on greater focus on reading and watching everything MMA related. Outside of this obsession, David enjoys watching and playing both football and rugby union.7 Articles

I remember walking into the bookies for the first time at 18 and backed a handful of teams to win across Europe on a Saturday afternoon, which was only a £2 stake but returned 60-odd quid. Finding new ways to gain an advantage against the bookies has become an obsession in recent months with endless stats and figures being accessible, you quickly learn what you’re looking for. Things have quickly improved as a Liverpool fan over the recent seasons with plenty of success and there’s always time for a few beers with the lads, a night out or a little getaway with the girlfriend.7 Articles

I started betting as soon as I turned 18 with absolutely no strategy, thinking it would be an easy way to make money because, of course, I knew more than the bookies! Now having worked with Trademate Sports for a year I can happily say I’m a profitable value bettor on just about every sport on the planet. On the weekends, you’ll find me watching rugby, MMA and football and abusing my three teams; Arsenal, Gold Coast Titans (League) and the Hurricanes (Union).6 Articles

Betting is something I’ve been surrounded by for large parts of my life, whether that’s my nanna betting on the horses, or my dad's lucky 15’s on the football. Although I wasn’t old enough to bet, my interest began in 2008 when my mum placed a bet on Hull to beat Arsenal at The Emirates - the rest was history. I enjoy staking money on stat-related wagers, using research and the relevant statistics to aid my decisions. The prevalence of statistics in the modern game has increased the appeal of betting with the emergence of Expected Goals (xG) especially. Outside of betting and writing, I’m a huge Hull City supporter and a regular match-goer. I’m also interested in snooker and darts.5 Articles

This year (2021), through a combination of circumstances and an ambition I’d had for a while, I took the plunge to become a full time sports bettor and to spend a year immersed in betting, trading and devouring as much knowledge as I can on the subject. I came to betting late, despite a short stint as a bet taker at a spread betting firm many years ago, I convinced myself that gambling was a mug's game and didn't think about it again until a few years ago when I found some strategies that worked for me and saw the potential. I still have a lot to learn and it’s nowhere near the glamorous life people think it might be, but it’s been an amazing and profitable experience so far and I’ve absolutely loved it. If I have a rare night off from betting, I love to write, play video games and binge on trash TV.3 Articles
