CAN Yeovil pull off a giant-killing at Huish Park on Sunday? Mark O’Haire (@MarkOHaire) explores the best bets.

When previewing the Dover-Crystal Palace match, I was struck by how short Dover were in the betting. The Conference Premier side are a good 80 places below Palace in the league pyramid yet priced up at just 7/1 to win.

Why’s that significant? Well on the same day Yeovil host Manchester United and with just over 60 places between the two teams, you can have a whopping 14/1 on the Glovers knocking out Louis Van Gaal’s men.

Yeovil left the field to boos ringing in their ears from home supporters on Monday night as they went down 3-0 to Leyton Orient. The loss leaves them rock bottom of League One and five points adrift of safety. Make no bones about it, Gary Johnson is under serious pressure as he bids to stop successive relegations.

But you can bet your bottom dollar that the Glovers will be highly-motivated and charged up for the visit of the Red Devils. A little under 10,000 fans will be crammed into Huish Park and I reckon Yeovil can make life difficult for United. So much so, that I’m going to have a small bite on that 14/1 from BetVictor.

We all remember what happened to Van Gaal’s men when they went to MK Dons in the League Cup earlier this season. They’ll have learned their lesson but the price is just far too big and has to be backed, even if it’s just a quid!

The hosts may have been beaten in seven of their League One home matches and failed to score in nine of their last 14 in league action but it’s interesting to note that they’re conceding the fourth fewest shots from opposition – to me, that shows they’re doing something right.

Individual mistakes can be blamed for a large portion of the goals they’ve leaked since dropping back down to the third tier. But with a visit from a star-studded United on the agenda, every single Yeovil player will be out to prove their worth in front of the TV cameras.

I’m also going to have a play on Yeovil +2 in the Asian Handicap market at 9/10 with BetVictor. Taking this selection means we’ll get our cash back if the Glovers lose by two goals but have a winner if they win, draw or only lose by a single goal.

Untied have won twice on the road this season and both came in fairly fortunate circumstances – at Arsenal and Southampton. They’ve only won by a margin of three goals or more twice away in 2014 and once in their last 16 FA Cup matches (and that includes a home tie against Crawley).
