The second Friday night game of the Premier League campaign sees eighth-placed Crystal Palace travel to face ninth-place Wolves.

Both teams have returned 10 points from their opening six games and the hosts will be looking to bounce back after conceding a late free kick versus Newcastle last time out.

Palace managed to return to winning ways against Fulham last week and will be looking to push on again but will know how tough it is to play at the Molineux.

Wolves have almost a fully fit squad to choose from with Jonny the only injury concern.  Romain Saiss has been in that wing-back role in recent games but may lose his place at the expense of Fernando Marcal on Friday night.

Saiss is unlikely to get into his preferred left centre back role with the form of the emerging Max Kliman so may have to settle for a place on the bench. Meanwhile, Adama Traore will be pushing for a place in the front three.

Palace striker Jordan Ayew may be able to return this weekend after a positive COVID test whilst Jaido Riedewald will hope to overcome the knock he picked up against Fulham to get another start in midfield here.

The form of Wilfried Zaha has been a highlight for Palace this season. He has scored five goals in six games and is thriving in his role as a central striker. He has averaged 1.2 shots on-target per-game, so it seems crazy that William Hill are offering 21/20 for at least one shot on-target, and 11/2 for two or more shots on-target.  This is fantastic value and is understandably a much lower price elsewhere.

If this price doesn’t last the 19/20 and 5/1 are available for the same bets with Ladbrokes are worth taking.

Another Palace player who has some interesting stats is Andros Townsend. Townsend managed nine tackles in his last match and five in the one before that. Overall, he averages 3.8 tackles per-game, which is crazy stats for a winger. He has also played every minute of Palace’s campaign so far which is a big bonus.

SkyBet have priced 3+ tackles for Townsend at 13/8 which is another angle I like.

Finally, the last bet I like is on Wolves team shots. Palace tend to play with a low block and have had under 40% possession in six out of seven games. As a result, they have conceded 17+ shots in five matches.  Boylesports have priced up Over 12.5 Shots at 11/10 with Unibet, which is big value considering the amount of shots the Eagles concede.

Wolves also managed 14 or more shots in two of their last three so I’m happy to back the over line.

Best Bets
