Coventry vs West Brom | Saturday 27th November 2021, 12:30 | Sky Sports

Coventry are defying all expectations this season and The Sky Blues currently find themselves in the Championship play-off places, just 1 point below Saturday’s opponents West Brom.

Mark Robins’ men have won 7 of their 10 home games this season and only league leaders Fulham boast a better home record. West Brom have been inconsistent away from The Hawthorns and are winless in their last 5 on the road.

The Baggies are 19th in the form table and will have their work cut out facing a Coventry side who’ve proven they can mix it with the best. Coventry hammered Fulham 4-1 earlier in the season and last week they pulled off a stunning fightback to salvage a point against Bournemouth.

West Brom are generally solid at the back but toothless in front of goal and have failed to score in their last three away league matches. Coventry’s home record speaks for itself and in Callum O’Hare, The Sky Blues have statistically the Championship’s most creative player. Top scorer Viktor Gyökeres could also be recalled this weekend and will undoubtedly fancy his chances of getting on the scoresheet.

Blackburn v Preston | Saturday 27th November 2021, 15:00

Entertainment is expected at Ewood Park on Saturday afternoon. On average, there are 3.9 goals in Blackburn’s home games, this by far the highest number in the Championship. Rovers currently sit in the play-off places, while their North West rivals Preston are in 17th place.

Since Blackburn’s shocking 7-0 home defeat to Fulham earlier last month, Tony Mowbray’s side have responded impressively by taking 10 points from a possible 12. The capitulation has become a catalyst and Rovers will no doubt be eyeing all 3 points in this fixture. Striker Ben Brereton Diaz is in fantastic form and has already found the net 16 times this season. The in-form Chilean international is likely to pose a constant threat to the Preston defence.

Preston are enjoying somewhat of a resurgence too. In their last away fixture, The Lilywhites took all 3 points at Middlesbrough and last weekend they frustrated league leaders Fulham to a 1-1 draw. Earlier in November, Preston also beat high-flying Bournemouth away, so it’s clear they have the quality to compete with the Championship’s best sides.

Due to both sides’ recent rejuvenation, this promises to be a cracker at Ewood Park. Again, we can expect goals as there have been over 2.5 goals scored in 11 of Blackburn's last 13 home games and over 2.5 goals in Preston’s last 3 away games.

Over 2.5 Goals (1/1 Bet365)

Blackpool v Luton | Saturday 27th November 2021, 15:00

Two out-of-form sides go head-to-head at Bloomfield Road on Saturday. Blackpool failed to win a game in November and the home side come into this fixture following a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Birmingham last Saturday. Similarly, Luton lost last weekend to relegation-threatened Cardiff.

Given both sides poor form, it’s difficult to pick a winner. Both sides have struggled to find the net in recent weeks. The hosts have netted just twice in their last 5, whilst Luton have scored once in their last 4 matches. However, both teams will see Saturday as an opportunity to get back to winning ways.

Luton have won only two 2 away matches this season and 40% of their away have ended as a draw. Blackpool have drawn their last two home games and a low-scoring draw looks the best bet here.

Draw and Under 2.5 Goals (11/4 Bet365)

Accrington v Fleetwood | Saturday 27th November 2021, 15:00

Managerless Fleetwood are in big trouble. The Cod Army haven’t won in their last 10 matches in all competitions, and they now languish in the League One relegation zone. Accrington Stanley find themselves mid-table after an inconsistent run of results.

A look at the average goals conceded table suggests this will be an entertaining encounter at The Crown Ground. Accrington are 2nd with 1.89 goals, while Fleetwood are 3rd with the same number.

No League One team has conceded more goals at home this season than Accrington Stanley, and in their last two home league games, Sheffield Wednesday have scored 3 and Plymouth 4. Fleetwood have scored in eight consecutive league games and look likely to strike again on Saturday.

Accrington Stanley are the favourites to take all three points and John Coleman’s side are on the back of a good win away to Lincoln last weekend. However, given their inconsistency this season, it’s too bold a move to back them to win this fixture. The goals angle is much more appealing as over 2.5 goals has landed in all of Accrington’s last 5 home games and all of Fleetwood's last 6 away games.

Last weekend’s selection (Over 2.5 Goals BTTS AFC Wimbledon v Fleetwood) came in comfortably as the game ended all square in a 2-2 draw. And given both teams’ goal numbers this season, I expect another goal-fest at Accrington on Saturday.
