OUR man in Rome Marco Di Cosmo (@Scioltz) has got Serie A covered with Sunday’s best bets.

Cagliari v Roma | Sunday 14.00 | BT Sport 1

If you think opposing Roma is brave when they’re playing in the capital, you surely must be out of your mind to consider backing the Giallorossi to win, going on their recent form.

Well, no. the Wolves head to Cagliari after the recent defeat to Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia knowing three points is an absolute must if they still hold title aspirations.

Cagliari just aren’t the same team we’ve become to grow fond of in recent season. Many of their best players have been sold on including Victor Ibarbo, to Roma funnily enough, just last week. He’s injured and so won’t travel for an early reunion with his former club.

The hosts have problems up front whilst Roma have a wealth of injury issues. But the Giallorossi have enough quality available to grab maximum points in Cagliari; fail and they can almost certainly call off their title challenge. So back Roma to win at 21/20 with Paddy Power.

Napoli v Udinese | Sunday 14.00

Napoli are flying. The Neapolitans have just beaten Inter in the Coppa Italia and they are now just four points behind Roma, sitting comfortably in third.

But the Partenopei’s form can be far from consistent. They regularly drop points when most in need and especially when Rafa Benitez’s team are expected to win comfortably.

On Sunday they should see off an Udinese side that will be without talisman Antonio Di Natale with the home side even likely to rest and rotate their squad after a busy schedule of games.

As I say, Napoli should win this but I can’t see Benitez’s men keeping a clean sheet for the second successive game. Udinese have already shown their ability to score here, and I am expecting them to notch at least one, even without Di Natale.

The Odds on the Friulani simply to score a goal are so good, and offer more valuae than a simple home win. So get involved at 10/11 with William Hill for Udinese to score Over 0.5 Goals.

Sampdoria v Sassuolo | Sunday 14.00

I would not be involved in this match normally, as Sampdoria are recently lowering their performances while Sassuolo are still at their best form, as shown in their recent 3-1 win against Inter.

But if you look at the team sheets, I think there is a great opportunity that would be a shame to just let it go. Sassuolo will travel to Genoa without their entire frontline, as Simone Zaza, Domenico Berardi and Nicola Sansone are all suspended for this match.

It happens so rarely to see such things and I think this will affect Sassuolo’s performance and it will hamper their chances to avoid a defeat in Genoa.

Sampdoria (17/20 BetVictor) have no particular issues and I am expecting Siniša Mihajlović’s men to get revenge from their recent 5-1 humiliation at Torino. A home win is almost even-money and is definitely worth a chance.
