GUNNING for a seventh winner in eight, Willie Duncan’s (@Willie_Duncan) advice cannot be ignored north of the border.

Ross County v Celtic | Sunday 15.30 | BT Sport 2

It seems like a long, long time ago that Celtic opened their defence of the Scottish Premiership title with a 2-0 win over Ross County in Glasgow on the opening day of the campaign.

Leigh Griffiths and Stefan Johansen scored the goals for Ronny Deila’s men that day, but it was Craig Gordon who attracted plenty of headlines in the aftermath, with the Celtic goalkeeper fortunate to avoid a red card for a foul on County’s Jackson Irvine.

Celtic were just one goal to the good at the time and, with the match only 22 minutes old, Jim McIntyre and Ross County were left to wonder about what might have been.

This weekend, Celtic make the long trip north to face the Staggies in Dingwall and, even though the odds compilers have this chalked up as a very one-sided affair, I’m expecting County to give the Hoops a game – and I think that there’s value to be had in backing goals when these two sides go head-to-head.

Deila’s side have kept just one clean sheet in their last nine matches away from home and no fewer than seven of Celtic’s last nine matches on the road has seen at least three goals scored.

Ross County are a very good side on home turf, with McIntyre’s men scoring in each of their eight home matches in all competitions this term – including a magnificent seven against Falkirk in the Scottish League Cup back in September.

While I don’t imagine that the Staggies will score seven against Celtic, I do think that they are capable of troubling the away defence on Sunday afternoon.

Celtic, of course, also boast plenty of firepower; they have failed to find the net just once in domestic action this season – in a goalless draw against Hearts – and with Leigh Griffiths having notched 11 goals in 13 league matches so far this season, the former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Hibernian striker will be keen to add to his impressive tally.

The 5/6 (Ladbrokes) quote for both teams to score during Sunday's showdown in Dingwall looks to be supremely generous and I’d advise punters to batter the bookies accordingly this weekend.

Both teams to score at 5/6 when Ross County play host to Celtic is my best Scottish bet this weekend – get involved!
