SUPER LEAGUE expert Kaine Greenwood (@KaineG23) highlights his favourite angle from the latest round of action.

Time is ticking down until we reach the Grand Final in just a month's time but it appears like a clear picture is developing about which sides will be contesting in the final four and it is going to be great to watch.

From now through to then I'll do my best to dig out the best option for putting the money down, and cleaning up, over the weekly rugby league schedule.

St Helens v Castleford Tigers | Thursday 20.00 | Sky Sports 1

I'll start by saying I can't believe that such a price is available on this week's selection.

There is fair form, good form, great form and unbelievable form. And then, it appears, there is Denny Solomona's form.

The latest instalment in the Solomona story saw the New Zealand flyer finish off three four-point efforts against local rivals Wakefield. Those three tries added to his already impressive tally and now mean that the Cas number five heads to Langtree Park with 35 to his name this year.

The competition's leading strike-threat has continued his form into the Super 8s after producing 28 regular-season tries and is in search of being Castleford's third Man of Steel winner in the last six seasons.

Such is the efficiency of the latest star at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle he has had his name noted against every side but the Catalan Dragons in Super League XXI and will no doubt look to the sweep the table when the two sides meet in the south of France next week.

In total the points-poster has scored six hat-tricks across the 2016 campaign; three of which have come in his last five appearances!

St Helens have conceded 26 tries to the left centre/winger combination in all their 2016 league fixtures to date which yet another supportive stat on this offering. Solomona himself grabbed one of tally in May's 20-30 defeat at home to the Saints and heads into this clash having scored in the previous three Super 8s rounds.

The Tigers' left edge as a whole has contributed 15 of the last 21 tries scored over the last four rounds meaning the former Auckland resident is never far from the action.

He is fast closing in on the record of the late St. John Ellis who amassed 37 tries in the 1993/94 Championship season for the Tigers and is considered as a club legend. It wouldn't be out of the question to see 22-year-old youngster equal or even break a record that has stood his entire lifetime this weekend.

Still, settling for just the one scoring effort pays great dividend with Ladbrokes who go 5/6 and I just can't get away from this one.

You will only be a Solo-moaner if you don't join in here!

*For those interested, the Castleford man is priced at 4/1 to cross for a double and 22/1 to complete a hat-trick for the third tick in four games, both also over at Ladbrokes.

Best Bets

St Helens v Castleford Tigers – Denny Solomona to score a try at anytime (5/6 Ladbrokes)

A career in sports journalism was my plan until that started-and-stopped when my Uni alarm never went off. At 26, I have spent my adult life (and some of my youth) around the betting boom and relied on its social qualities to bring me interest when those I idolised as a youth fancied taking one-or-two weekends off! I'm still not over England's 2-0 defeat in Croatia but that's another story... and the slip is in the bin. My general sporting interests include football (Leeds United), rugby league (Halifax RLFC) and American football (Miami Dolphins) - not exactly the greatest grouping, I am aware! I take note of most North American sports, with a desire to one day set up camp on South Beach with regular visits to Starbucks. Paralympic sport is what I champion, as a wheelchair user and terrible tennis / basketball player I truly respect what they do. Former Yorkshire disability sports team member.
