Rugby League – Back Knights to edge clueless Cowboys

DEBUTANT rugby league analyst Chris Thomas (@SolidPunts) is heading Down Under on Friday morning in search of value as the North Queensland Cowboys welcome Newcastle Knights to Townsville.

North Queensland Cowboys v Newcastle Knights | Friday 27th July 2018, 09:00

It's been a year to forget for the North Queensland Cowboys. The pre-season title favourites sit second from bottom with just four wins to their name after 18 games.

Meanwhile, Newcastle Knights are fresh off victory over the Gold Coast Titans last week and will have their first choice full-back, stand-off, and scrum-half all available for the first time since March.

The Cowboys look set to continue with the questionable team selection that has led them to second bottom of the ladder. In doing so, it's hard to see them not adding to their 14 league defeats.

While the Knights win therefore presents value at a best-priced 7/4 (SkyBet), I think we can do even better using the Winning Margin market.

With six of Newcastle's seven wins arriving by 1-10 points and the Cowboys losing nine of their 14 defeats by this margin, Newcastle to win by 1-10 points is my NAP of the week at 3/1 (Ladbrokes).
