Premier League

Swansea's 11/1 win at Arsenal last Monday helped propel Garry Monk's men to the top of the listings, putting an end to Stoke's dominance. The Potters had led the way since late August and their 16/1 success at Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace continue to surge closer to the top-two with a marvellous 15/2 victory in Steven Gerrard's Anfield swan song on Saturday evening.

Championship

Brentford may have lost out in the play-offs but Mark Warburton leaves the Londoners as the Championship's most profitable side to bet on in 2014/15. The Bees won exactly half of their 46 league fixtures to net a huge £176.40 profit.

Neil Redfern's astute leadership of Leeds saw the Yorkshire giants finish the campaign in second with beleaguered Blackpool unsurprisingly cut adrift at the other end of the table.

League One

Bristol City may have won 15 more matches than Crewe but it didn't stop The Alex taking top honours in League One. Steve Davis' men may have managed just 15 league victories in 2014/15 but returned backers a league-high of £189.20

Leyton Orient's disastrous campaign brought about the P&L wooden spoon as well as relegation to the fourth tier.

League Two

Outlined as potential cannon-fodder in pre-season, Morecambe again upset the odds this season and took gold in League Two's P&L table. An honourable mention must go to Dagenham with Wayne Burnett's charges finishing the season with a bronze.

At the opposite end of the table, Portsmouth remained rooted in the bottom-half for the majority of the season and lost punters a huge £140 across the campaign.

SPFL Premiership

St Johnstone's 1-0 win at Parkhead in March has kept them well clear at the top of the Premiership standings and with just one game left they won't be caught now.

Despite reaching the Top 6 this season, Dundee remain the most unprofitable side to back in Scotland's top flight with a loss figure approaching £80.

SFL Championship

What a season for Hearts! They led the title race from wire to wire and were the most profitable side to back in the division with a profit figure of £117.10.

Six of the 10 sides made a loss in Scotland's second tier including Rangers whose frustrating season saw post a loss of £52.

SFL League One

Champions Morton took the honours in the League One profit race with a figure of £119.80 with play-off losers Forfar just behind them on £101.60.

Relegated Stirling Albion won just four of their 36 games and produced a stunning loss figure of £200. Eternal disappointments Dunfermline were next worst in the table with a loss of £109.70.

SFL League Two

Often a by-word for uselessness, East Stirling turned things round magnificently in 2014/15 by topping the Scottish League Two profit table. Champions Albion Rovers were next in the list with a £146.30 figure.

Montrose finished bottom of the league table but Berwick Rangers were the worst side to back in Scotland's fourth tier. Colin Cameron's men lost 25 of their matches and ended the season with a loss figure of £103.40.

La Liga

Malaga and Celta remain comfortable in La Liga's top-two thanks to wins at the Camp Nou this season but look out for Rayo Vallecano. Paco Jemez continues to steer the Madrid-based club in the right direction.

For the first time this season Barcelona and Real Madrid find themselves in the top-half but accumulative profit of £13.10 between the two giants proves the lack of value in betting on the Big-Two.

Bundesliga

Freiburg's 6/1 win over champions Bayern Munich this weekend has lifted them clear of the cluster of clubs battling it out to avoid the wooden spoon in the Bundesliga P&L table. Dortmund's defeat keeps Jurgen Klopp's men rooted to the bottom.

Despite their relegation concerns, Hannover's 12/5 success at Augsburg saw the Red Shorts move into a top-six position.

Serie A

Genoa remain well clear at the top of the standings and their 19/10 victory at Atalanta on Sunday extended the table-toppers' advantage.

Juventus are comfortably the most profitable champion across the continent and their 5/2 win at Inter on Saturday night has moved the Old Lady into second.

Ligue 1

PSG may have secured the Ligue 1 title but the capital club remain one of the worst teams to bet on across Europe. Laurent Blanc's men won their 23rd league game of the campaign on Saturday night but would still have lost punters £36.50.

Wins for Guingamp, Nice and Lorient kept the unfashionable trio in the top-three positions with just one game to play.
