National League: Woking are worth watching in a war between third against fourth

NON-LEAGUE expert Paul Maddison (@LouthBigDog) shares his favourite fancies from a Saturday card of National League action.

Torquay v Dover| Saturday 7th October 2017, 15:00

Second, in the league, Dover, who also has the second-best record away from home, travel along the south coast to face bottom of the table Torquay.

The Gulls won their first game of the season last week at their 14th attempt. I'm not confident that they will make it two in a row after losing nine games already this season.

Dover has picked up 14 of their 25 points this season away from home and has conceded just five goals in their seven away games. I'll be backing an away win at 117/100 with (Marathon Bet)

Woking v Dagenham | Saturday 7th October 2017, 15:00

Third play fourth here in what should be a cracking game. Woking is very strong at home, picking up 16 points from their seven home games and are in good form winning six of their last eight games.

The Daggers owe their fourth-place position mainly due to their home form. In the away league table, they actually sit 14th without winning away from home in their last six games, they have drawn five of those games though.

Woking is available at 10/11 (188 Bet) +0.5 on the Asian handicap, that means the bet will land if they win or draw the game. This bet would have landed in 15 of the last 18 Woking home games and the last six Dagenham & Redbridge away games.

North Ferriby v FC United of Manchester | Saturday 7th October 2017, 15:00

The home side has lost 17 of their last 20 matches, winning one and drawing two. The win and one of the draws cost me as I tipped against them in both matches. Since then they have lost six of their seven games and scored just two goals, in fact, they've scored just four goals in 12 league games all season.

FC United of Manchester didn't start the season too well but have started to find some decent form winning three and drawing one of their last four, scoring 13 goals in the process.

At odds against I'm backing against the home team and hoping for third time lucky. FC United of Manchester are available to win at 29/25 (Marathon Bet) and that looks excellent value to me.

Best Bets

Torquay v Dover – Dover t0 Win  (7/8 BetVictor)

Woking v Dagenham – Woking +0.5 on the Asian handicap (10/11 188 Bet)

North Ferriby v FC United of Manchester – FC United of Manchester to win (29/25 Marathon)
