Liverpool vs Arsenal | Saturday 20th November 2021, 17:30 | Sky Sports

  • Liverpool have scored at least 2 goals in their last 8 league matches.
  • Liverpool are undefeated in their last 10 home matches against Arsenal in all competitions.
  • Liverpool have scored 3 or more goals in 5 of their last 6 home games against Arsenal in all competitions.

Arsenal are in the midst of a decent run in terms of results at the moment – 10 without defeat now, however they have had a rather favourable run of fixtures. The Gunners next to trips are to Anfield on Saturday and then Old Trafford in a fortnight which will be the acid test of how far they have improved since the start of the campaign.

Liverpool, on the other hand, have picked up just 1 point in their last 2 league games with a draw at home to Brighton and defeat at West Ham. Defensively they’ve looked more porous of late and with Arsenal tending to get on the scoresheet now it would not be a surprise to see the visitors bag.

Emile Smith-Rowe looks a mainstay now and he along with Bukayo Saka and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang look a dangerous trio when on the break especially.

Although Mikel Arteta has largely seen improvements defensively for his side, particularly so on the road, they’re coming up against a side who have scored 2 or more goals in all but one league game this season and Jurgen Klopp sides never look to sit back and try win 1-0.

I fancy Liverpool to win the game simply because they have a better attack than Arsenal, defensively I don’t think there’s tonnes to choose between the sides.

With that in mind I’ll take two correct scores. The 2-1 home win at 17/2 and the 3-1 home win at 11/1 both with BetVictor, look like strong runners. The 3-1 has landed in each of the last two seasons in fact.

Best Bets

Liverpool vs Arsenal – Liverpool to win 2-1 (17/2 BetVictor)

Liverpool vs Arsenal – Liverpool to win 3-1 (11/1 BetVictor)

About Author

I was first interested in the betting industry by doing the odd coupon at 18 - when I’d see a team at odds I didn’t expect it sparked my curiosity as to why that was. I’d go and research everything around that club: form, team news, manager quotes, and try give my own price in an aim to out-do the bookies. I personally enjoy punting on the Football League and European competitions. I like to diversify what markets I bet on so sometimes it’s outrights, goals, player cards etc. The Football League angle comes from being an avid Bradford City fan which has its ups (reaching a League Cup final and beating Chelsea in the FA Cup) and its downs (The entirety of 2018). Hobbies of mine include playing football, cross country running, travelling and playing Football Manager.
