Well… Neymar or no Neymar, I’m appalled by the prices available for PSG here.

Guingamp are – and have been for a few seasons now – an excellent side at home and always get themselves up for the visits of big clubs.

The hosts have beaten PSG on two of their last three visits and last year’s scalps at the Stade Du Roudourou include Lille, Lyon, Marseille and the aforementioned capital club – that's some list for a club of Guingamp’s size!

In 2016/17 Guingamp won 12 games at home which was the fifth best overall record in Ligue 1 and they collected more points as hosts than Lyon – only PSG, Monaco, Nice and Marseille garnered more.

Last week was a sensation for Guingamp as they normally don't turn up for many away games. But Sunday night’s hosts had an excellent and richly-deserved 3-1 win at Metz, so they’ll be buoyant here.

PSG

PSG didn't break sweat last weekend, strolling to victory against new boys Amiens – there really isn’t much else to be say about the match…

Unai Emery’s side have the best starting XI in Ligue 1 and signing Neymar will only lift the club, inside and out. However, games like these are never easy meat. The smaller teams in Ligue 1 are a lot more organised than their La Liga counterparts, in my opinion.

Last season PSG won 14/19 away games scoring 41 goals, which is quite formidable but five losses for a team such as theirs was rather poor. I know I'm not alone in having my reservations on Emery still and I still doubt his ability to switch to Plan B when the going gets tough.

The betting angle

Guingamp have to be the value here and getting with them was my first thought of the week. PSG won’t rock up here and win easily by three or four.

So get with the men from Brittany – Guingamp can be backed with a +1.75 Asian Handicap at 19/20 (Marathon).

This selection see us lose only half our stake should PSG win by exactly two goals but a home win, draw or PSG victory by one goal will see us paid out.
