EVERTON welcome Wolves to Goodison Park on Super Sunday. Daniel McCulloch (@DMcCulloch1984) delivers his best bet verdict.

For me, it is too simple to say that Wolves will suffer this season because of their Europa League exertions. Many base this on their performance against Burnley last Sunday and the trouble Burnley had following up such games last season.

Wolves have an admittedly small squad but the truth is that even if they had not played a game in midweek, I would be backing Everton at 5/4 (Marathon) to win this game.

I opposed The Toffees at Villa Park last week but was actually very impressed with their performance. Admittedly, Villa haven't looked great to date but I was surprised with how many high quality chances Everton produced. Marco Silva's men have just one goal from their opening three fixtures but their Expected Goals (xG) tally is triple that.

Moreover, I don't believe Wolves have looked great in any league fixture this season. A home draw with Manchester United may seem impressive but they were thankful for a penalty save and a Ruben Neves wonderstrike in that game.

In their last six Premier League home fixtures, Everton have won five and drawn one while scoring ten and not conceding any. Given that they have faced Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester Uniyed and Chelsea across those matches I don't think you can argue that theh have been blessed with an easy run of fixtures.

Goodison Park has been a fortress for a number of years and their record against sides outside the Big Six was excellent under Roberto Martinez, Ronald Koeman and Sam Allardyce. Silva's doesn't seem as impressive but they've still won eight of his 14 matches at home to said sides and I expect them to make it nine out of 15 here.

Wolves did record a victory in this fixture last season but all things considered I don't expect them to repeat that feat. Take the 5/4 with Marathon on a home victory.
