Again, apologies for the note form of this weekend’s European NAP. Time has run away with me but I think I’ve unearthed a ripper from Serie A.

I’m delving into Bet365’s Bet Builder for the clash between high-flying Napoli and struggling Bologna and opting to take a home win, plus Bologna to score Under 2 Goals and Bologna to receive Over 1 Card for a 4/5 shot.

  • Napoli have W7-D2-L0 at home this season by an aggregate 20-4, recording six clean sheets and only once conceding more than a solitary strike (back in September).
  • Excluding the top-five, Napoli have W12-D2-L0 in Serie A this season.
  • Since 2015/16, Napoli have won 50/66 (76%) home league games and W32-D4-L0 against the bottom-half at home.
  • Napoli are giving up just 0.47 xG from open play per-game this season and conceding only 5.61 shots in the box on average.
  • Napoli’s visitors have been carded at least twice in all nine of their home games.
  • Bologna have lost 9/18 (50%) games this season, failing to score in 10 and notching more than once in only five fixtures.
  • Bologna have lost all four games against the top-five by an aggregate 11-1 and lost 17 of their past 29 away games in Serie A.
  • Bologna have conceded at least twice in six of their nine away games, and operating off just a 35% xG open play ratio, recording just 0.48 xG from open play.
  • Bologna have been carded at least twice in 15 of their 18 encounters, including eight of their nine road trips. They average 2.82 cards per-game.
