Hertha Berlin v Mainz | 13th September | 14:30

Neither side has managed to bag three points from their opening fixtures – Hertha fought back from two goals down to pinch a point from Werder Bremen before putting in a brave display when going down to table-topping Leverkusen last time out. Meanwhile, Mainz required a last-minute equalising penalty at Paderborn on the opening day before a dour 0-0 draw with Hannover ahead of the international break.

So both sides will be intent on ending their winless streaks this Saturday afternoon. Despite Mainz’s dull goalless encounter with Hannover, there’s been 14 goals plundered in four fixtures involving these two teams so far this season and there’s plenty of reason to believe that the goals will continue to flow in Berlin.

Over 2.5 Goals has been priced up at an attractive 21/20 with William Hill. Both Hertha’s Bundesliga outings this season have seen four or more goals netted with seven of their past 10 at the Olympiastadion breaking the three-goal barrier whilst 14 of Mainz’s last 18 away Bundesliga games would have seen Over 2.5 Goals backers collect too.

Defence certainly isn’t the strong point of either side; we already know the Bundesliga has a reputation for high-scoring games and the likes of Rony, Julien Schieber, Solomon Kalou, Valentin Stocker, Hajime Hosogai, Shinji Okazaki and Jonas Hoffman will all be looking forward to what will hopefully be an entertaining encounter.
