AFGHANISTAN’s clash with Bangladesh is the next match to get Sky Cricket man Joe Drabble (@Joe_Drabs) excited.

Afghanistan v Bangladesh | Wednesday 03.30 | Sky Sports 2

Hands up who's setting their alarm for this one?

Well, with a 10/3 (William Hill) upset on the cards you might just want too. I'm backing World Cup debutants Afghanistan to spring a surprise in Canberra.

At 1/4 Bangladesh are hugely over-rated by the bookies and in the only previous ODI meeting between these sides, Afghanistan won AND it came in Bangladesh!

The Afghans will play every match as if their lives depend on it, as simply reaching this tournament has been a phenomenal achievement.

Bangladesh are relative novices in Australian conditions and have only played competitive matches in Cairns and Darwin. Warm-up defeats to Pakistan and Ireland will also have dented confidence leading into the tournament.

Afghanistan, armed with a decent pace bowling attack, believe the harder pitches Down Under will suit them more. It's worth a punt.
