Chelsea v Man City – Citizens star to shine at Wembley on Sunday

THE COMMUNITY SHIELD takes place at Wembley this weekend and Premier League analyst Daniel McCulloch (@danmcc84) has one bet in mind for Sunday's showpiece.

Chelsea v Manchester City | Sunday 5th August 2018, 15:00 | BT Sport

Just three weeks after one of the most pointless games in football – the third-place playoff at the World Cup – we have another contender here as Chelsea and Manchester City lock horns in the Community Shield.

With so many players on both sides going deep at the World Cup, the sides on show are likely to bear little resemblance to those you see once the season is in full flow.

These games haven't been the goalfests you would have expected in recent years, with just 11 goals in the last five games.

Chelsea's new manager Maurizio Sarri has a reputation for attacking football and we all know Pep Guardiola's philosophy. Still, 8/13 on both sides finding the net is a little short, and while I think this will happen, I am not sure it occurs 62% of the time.

Instead, I like the look of Leroy Sane at 31/10 with Unibet in the Anytime Goalscorer market. The German was inexplicably left out of his nation's World Cup squad so should be fit and refreshed for the upcoming campaign.

Sane scored against Liverpool in a pre-season friendly the other week and has looked very explosive in recent games. He scores in this game more than 24% of the time in my opinion so 31/10 is excellent value.

Best Bets

Chelsea v Manchester City –¬†Leroy Sane to score at anytime (31/10 Unibet)
