Champions League – Greek giants to shine on Tuesday night

FOOTBALL analyst Ben Levene (@benlevene96) oversees Tueday night's Champions League qualification action.

AEK Athens v MOL Vidi | Tuesday 28th August 2018, 20:00 | BT Sport

AEK Athens defeated MOL Vidi 2-1 in Hungary last Wednesday, and there’s no reason they won’t do similar this time around.

Videoton only netted past the Greek giants late-on after AEK when it was 10-men apiece and have failed to win any of three European away games so far this season, with results of 1-1, 0-0, 1-1.

Ludogorets were the Hungarians toughest opponents and when visiting, Vidi registered just the solitary shot on-target.

Given they are behind, the onus is on Vidi to come out and that could leave them vulnerable.

Since the turn of the year, AEK have won 12 of 13 home matches, with 10 of those wins coming in games featuring Under 3.5 Goals.

The Greeks had the advantage of hosting the second-leg against Celtic and on that occasion were still able to run away 2-1 victors on the night.

AEK made five changes at the weekend and that’s indicative of how they’re going to approach this.

I’m happy to back the hosts to win and Under 3.5 Goals at evens with Sportingbet.
