KING OF THE CARDS Gavin Murphy (@GamePlanGavin) highlights a bookings-based gem from Thursday night’s Turkish cup final.

Galatasaray v Fenerbahce | Thursday 19.15 | BT Sport

The Turkish cup final takes place on Thursday evening and it promises to be a belter between combustible local rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.

Novice referee Mete Kalkavan takes charge of his first final and he will surely be feeling the pressure.

The previous five meetings between these Istanbul neighbours have produced total card figures of 2-7-4-6-7.

This official did cover the game with two cards in April but that was a drab 0-0 affair and, as I've said many times, that scoreline kills cards bets. Therefore, I'm ignoring it.

In the past three encounters Galatasaray have collected the most cards. Additionally, in this season's Super League they averaged 2.85 cards-per-game compared to Fenerbahce's 2.35 cards-per-game.

Fener are generally odds-on to win the game in 90 minutes so hopefully Galatasaray will get the hump.

What interests me in this match is the difference of opinion between bookies. 888 have Galatasaray as 39/50 jollies to collect the most cards. However, Paddy Power are offering Gala at 9/5.

There is the potential outcome of a ‘tie' but this is unusual, so I'll take my chances.

I don't know if this is a mistake by Paddy Power but either way I'm getting involved…

About Author

I first got interested in gambling through my cousin. He's a professional gambler and got me hooked as a teenager when you had to pay the 9% tax. Who remembers that?! These days I prefer to specialise on one market rather than spread myself too thinly. Hence my love of cards! Hopefully I can make others a few bob in the process of sharing my bets on WeLoveBetting. On a personal note I love most sports especially cricket, rugby and NFL. I support Tottenham and all things Welsh and outside of sport I enjoy reading autobiographies particularly with a glass of good wine!
