‘THE GOALSCORER PRICEWISE’ is back as Gavin Horsfall (@GHorsfall) hunts more big-priced Football League goalscorer value following a hugely successful show over the Easter period.

York v Leyton Orient | Saturday 15.00

York's league form looks like ensuring their exit from League Two come May but they look like they're going down all guns blazing, which makes them an interesting proposition in the goal markets.

Just one point was taken from games against Crawley and Plymouth but they came out on the right side of the shots-on-target count in both those matches, scoring four.

Luke Summerfield (7/1 Paddy Power) has scored four of his six goals from the penalty spot, including two in two coming into the home encounter against Leyton Orient this Saturday but looks to have been given more licence to get forward from his midfield position, following the addition of Scott Bennett into a holding role.

That more advanced role plus his penalty duties makes the price on Summerfield scoring a nice a touch of value here.

Portsmouth v Carlisle | Saturday 15.00

There's still a continued urgency to create chances and get the ball forward at Carlisle, which is good news ahead of their trip to Portsmouth where you imagine there's no point holding back against a potential playoff spot challenger.

Last week's 3-2 win against Bristol Rovers saw a sublime finish from Reading loanee Jack Stacey (7/1 Paddy Power) who comes with a versatile reputation, but looks a bigger threat on the right-hand side of a forward line behind Charlie Wyke than the price suggests.

Stacey joins as a highly-regarded talent at Reading and after a whirlwind weekend – having only joined up with players in the hours before their Good Friday draw at Yeovil – he can make more progress with a week's training under his belt.

Hartlepool v Mansfield | Saturday 15.00

Craig Hignett’s quietly going about his business at Hartlepool; unbeaten in six, the Monkey Hangers entertain Mansfield on Saturday looking assured of League football next season.

Winger Nathan Thomas (11/2 Stan James) has been one to praise the virtues of his new boss, namely thanking Hignett for not making him track full-backs and giving him some licence to go and find the ball.

It's resulted in some good form; a couple of goals in March and a host of other chances that may have taken that tally up.

Thomas has been high on the shot count over the past five fixtures, which is good timing as his former club visit on Saturday.

The 21-year old left the Stags to be closer to his family in the north-east and he can twist the knife in at a nice price this weekend.

Best Bets

York v Leyton Orient – Luke Summerfield to score at anytime (7/1 Paddy Power)

Portsmouth v Carlisle – Jack Stacey to score at anytime (7/1 Paddy Power)

Hartlepool v Mansfield – Nathan Thomas to score at anytime (11/2 Stan James)
