Scottish Football Tips | Willie Duncan’s NAP | 27th February 2016

SCOTTISH football bible Willie Duncan (@Willie_Duncan) delivered the goods yet again last weekend. He’s back for a bite of Scottish Championship action on Saturday.

Falkirk v Queen of the South | Saturday 15.00

Having tasted success with St Mirren last weekend, I’m delving back into the Scottish Championship this weekend by backing Falkirk to take all three points from their home match against Queen of the South.

Falkirk claimed a much-needed win last weekend when they defeated Greenock Morton 1-0 at Cappielow – and how good a result that was for the Bairns was underlined on Wednesday night when Jim Duffy’s men claimed a remarkable 3-0 win against Hibernian at Easter Road.

Before their win last weekend, Peter Houston’s men had gone four matches without a win – but three of those games were away from home and there is no doubt that Falkirk are a far better side at home than they are on their travels.

Indeed, Falkirk have lost just one of their last 12 matches at home and, with just six goals against, they boast the best home defensive record in the Championship.

This weekend, they take on Queen of the South and the 10/11 (Betfred) quotes for a home win are far too big to miss out on, for Queens are not great travellers.

James Fowler’s side have won just two of their last nine matches away from home, losing four of their last five and failing to even find the net during three of those four most recent defeats on the road.

Indeed, Queens have scored just eight times away from home in the Championship this term and I expect that they’ll be too toothless to trouble a Falkirk side that is already preparing for a place in the promotion play-offs.

Back the Bairns to do the business at home at a seductive 10/11 (Betfred).
