Bundesliga: Lack of action looks the value pick in Wolfsburg

BUNDESLIGA boff Tom Loveys (@ValueBetMethods) returns with a bet to follow on Sunday.

Wolfsburg v Hoffenheim | Sunday 14:30 | BT Sport Europe

Wolfsburg take on Hoffenheim at the Volkswagen Arena on Sunday lunchtime. Hoping to finish the weekend with a bang, I’m looking at this tricky fixture trying to unravel the value.

Trends

Wolfsburg sit in 14th and desperately need a boost in order to move up the table, whilst Hoffenheim, having lost just the one game this season are 5th and have put in some impressive performances, notably last week with a 4-0 demolition of Mainz.

With Hoffenheim, you usually expect goals, however you may be surprised to learn that 4/5 last Hoffenheim away games have gone Under 2.5 and five of their nine away games have finished in a draw.

Danger

With 1-0 victories over both Frankfurt and Hamburg, you would have been forgiven in thinking Wolfsburg had turned a corner, yet after losing again to Augsburg a couple of weeks ago, they have now lost six of their 10 games in front of their own fans and sit perilously close to danger.

The odds are cramped for me in most markets, but one which may oblige is the ‘NO-BTTS’ market, priced up at 34/25 with Marathon Bet – the odds seem a little generous for me.

This is a selection that has obliged in 6/10 Wolfsburg home games this season, I’ll be hoping that both (or at least one) of the defences turn up and steer us towards Bundesliga profits.
