Bundesliga: Friday night goals look the call in Mainz

BUNDESLIGA boff Tom Loveys (@ValueBetMethods) returns to shares his top pick from the Friday night Bundesliga game.

Mainz v Augsburg | Friday 19:30 | BT Sport Europe

The Bundesliga weekend kicks off on Friday night with Mainz hosting Augsburg and ‘goals’ looks like the way to follow here. Mainz come to this game off the back of a 4-0 drubbing by Hoffenheim, whilst Augsburg battled back from 2-1 down to beat Bremen 3-2.

With the nine goals in these games fresh in our mind – one can back Over 2.5 Goals at 121/100 with Marathon Bet  which looks decent value to start our weekend.

Mainz’s home games this season have seen 6/9 games go ‘Over’ – and with frailties very apparent in both defences, we’ll be hoping that both sets of strikers have dusted their boots, ready for action.

Three of the last five H2H clashes at the Coface Arena have gone ‘Over’, the most recent being Mainz’s 4-2 victory against Augsburg in April of last year. It’s good enough for me to get involved.
