CARD king Gavin Murphy (@GamePlanGavin) has lined up a bookings bet on Thursday night’s Euro 2016 qualifying play-off in Oslo.

Norway v Hungary | Thursday 19.45 | Sky Sports 3

The Euro 2016 qualification play-offs get underway on Thursday night and I cannot wait.

UEFA have been ridiculously slow to confirm the referee appointments for these games. At the time of writing, we still don't know who will officiate the matches in Ukraine and Sweden. Farcical!

What we do know is, Mark Clattenburg gets the whistle for the Norway v Hunargy showdown.

On the face of it, this looks a mismatch in terms of cards. In five home group games Norway collected 2,-2-0-3-0 cards at an average of just 1.4 cards-per-game.

Those low stats put me off taking on a Total Cards punt in the game. Alternatively, Over 45 bookings points is 8/15 and I can't entertain that price.

On the other hand, Hungary picked up a lot of cards in their away games during their qualifying fixtures.

In their five away days, the Magyars received 7-1-5-4-5 – the anomaly was a match in the Faroe Islands. If we exclude that, the Hungarians average 5.25 cards-per-game away.

Clattenburg can be a frustrating referee if you’re backing overs as he can bottle big decisions, such as not sending off Lucas for a second yellow in the recent Chelsea v Liverpool contest.

However, he will surely have his hands full in Oslo tonight. Given the numbers, I'm backing Hungary to collect Over 2.5 cards at 7/10 with 888.

I first got interested in gambling through my cousin. He's a professional gambler and got me hooked as a teenager when you had to pay the 9% tax. Who remembers that?! These days I prefer to specialise on one market rather than spread myself too thinly. Hence my love of cards! Hopefully I can make others a few bob in the process of sharing my bets on WeLoveBetting. On a personal note I love most sports especially cricket, rugby and NFL. I support Tottenham and all things Welsh and outside of sport I enjoy reading autobiographies particularly with a glass of good wine!
