A brand new daily column kicks-off as Jack Wright (@JackWright_BSB) highlights his favourite four goalscorer selections on Saturday.

Wrighty’s Saturday Goalscorer Lucky 15 | 3rd April 2021

Normally I will be picking out four players from the 3pm kick-offs to form a Lucky 15 – however with virtually all of the EFL playing on Good Friday and Easter Monday, I will choose one scorer from each of the four Premier League games taking place this Saturday.

Chelsea v West Brom – Mason Mount (11/2)

Mount scored while on England duty last weekend and the main risk here is him being rested but he has proved invaluable to all of his managers this campaign and never seems to need rotation. The Baggies will likely sit deep and it may need a shot from range or a late run in to the box to break their resistance – there is no better man in blue for that than our Mason.

Leeds v Sheffield United – Patrick Bamford (3/1)

Bamford has had a great season and has formerly proved himself at Championship level – which and I don’t mean to be disrespectful is the level Sheffield United will be playing at next season. The focul point of the Leeds attack this is a great opportunity to add to his 14 league goals this term against a side that shipped five in their last EPL outing.

Leicester v Man City – Ilkay Gundogan (15/2)

The hardest part here is second guessing Pep and predicting the lineup he will choose ahead of the upcoming UCL clash with Dortmund. Gundogan is one of his trusty lieutenants however and with 12 league goals to his name the German midfielder is having his most productive season in England. The odds of 15/2 look very tempting so let’s take a chance he is given a starting role.

Arsenal v Liverpool – Diogo Jota (11/2)

Jota’s return to the Champions side has really sparked them back to something like last season's form – especially when on the road. Three goals in two starts for Portugal in the international break would have geared him up nicely for this following his first goal since returning from injury in Liverpool’s last EPL outing at Wolves. The Portuguese forward is looking sharp and back to full fitness and looks a nice price for this trip to the Emirates againsy a side that can usually be relied upon to cough up a chance or two.

Having had a passion for football for as long as I can remember – I’m talking Shoot League Ladders here – one of my first “bets” is still my biggest win. After begging my mum to let me fill in her pools coupon so I could show off my knowledge, eight draws later and a cheque for £11,500 was soon in the post. As a Norwich fan it’s important to have a good grasp of what’s going on in the lower leagues and I also like exploring those less popular leagues to have a delve into any stats-based markets that are available. Right now, I’m particularly enjoying player bets. Outside of sport, I love eating and drinking - maybe a little too much - as well as listening to a varied spectrum of music, both from the comfort of my own home and at festivals.
