Wrighty’s Saturday Goalscorer Lucky 15 | 24th April 2021

Barnsley vs Rotherham – Daryl Dike (9/2)

Scorer of the first – and only – goal of the game with a bicycle kick last time out as Barnsley grabbed three vital promotion points at Huddersfield.

The American international continues to impress with 9 goals in 16 Championship appearances from a conversion rate of 37.5% leading to talk that the top clubs in England are monitoring his situation and weighing up activating his reported £17m buy-out.

The 22-year-old will be looking to take advantage of a tired Rotherham defence playing their 6th game in 15 days.

Lincoln vs Hull – Josh Magennis (6/1)

The 30-year-old Northern Ireland international has come back in to form at just the right time for the league leaders, scoring both equalisers in a thrilling 2-2 draw with promotion rivals Sunderland on Tuesday, making it five goals in the last five games.

If the 16-goal striker adds to his tally here it could be help provide the win at Cincil Park which will take the Tigers back to the Championship. Surely, he needs no bigger incentive.

Oldham vs Grimsby – Alfie McCalmont (18/1)

Oldham are scoring goals for fun at the moment with 15 in their last 4 outings – and must fancy their chances of a few more here as rock bottom Grimsby visit Boundary Park, with a defeat for the Mariners pushing them ever closer to an exit from League football.

In keeping with his side’s goalscoring form Alfie McCalmont has scored 5 in the last 9 games, 2 in his last 3 appearances, including netting the opener in the 3-0 win at Harrogate on Tuesday – Bet 365 have him priced far too high here to repeat the trick here – almost double the odds of any other firm.

FC Halifax vs Bromley – Michael Cheek 5/1

A tough game for the visitors as they look to burst in to the play-offs, currently two positions lower but level on points with Chesterfield who occupy the final qualification place. What they do have is the league's top scorer in Michael Cheek with 21 goals to his name, some 6 more than his nearest rival.

The 29-year-old is also in good form having scored a goal in 4 of his last 5 appearances including the opener in last weekend’s 2-1 win at Chesterfield and will fancy his chances here against the 5th placed hosts who have shipped an alarming 10 goals in their last 4 home games.

Having had a passion for football for as long as I can remember – I’m talking Shoot League Ladders here – one of my first “bets” is still my biggest win. After begging my mum to let me fill in her pools coupon so I could show off my knowledge, eight draws later and a cheque for £11,500 was soon in the post. As a Norwich fan it’s important to have a good grasp of what’s going on in the lower leagues and I also like exploring those less popular leagues to have a delve into any stats-based markets that are available. Right now, I’m particularly enjoying player bets. Outside of sport, I love eating and drinking - maybe a little too much - as well as listening to a varied spectrum of music, both from the comfort of my own home and at festivals.
