A brand new daily column kicks-off as Jack Wright (@JackWright_BSB) highlights his favourite four goalscorer selections on Saturday.

Wrighty’s Saturday Goalscorer Lucky 15 | 1st May 2021

Norwich vs Reading – Emi Buendia (7/1)

Buendia will be looking to add some collective silverware to his trophy cabinet in a week he was crowned as Norwich City's Player of the Season following a stunning individual campaign – rubber stamped a matter of hours later after being named Sky Bet Championship Player of the Season at the EFL Awards.

Having secured promotion, Norwich will be hunting the win here that will guarantee them the Championship title and the Argentinian maestro could be the man to fire them to the three points after his most productive goalscoring season – firing 14 goals to go with his 15 assists, scoring in four of his last six appearances including two openers.

Mansfield vs Oldham – Conor McAleny (6/1)

Oldham have been a friend of the column the last few weeks for their goalscoring prowess, top scorers AND conceders in the league, their games have seen an incredible 145 goals and so we are going in again.

McAleny is ending the season in great form – with just one blank in his last 5 appearances – the week we featured him! We will forgive him if he scores first at Field Mill making it the fourth opening goal in the last six games – if Oldham win a spot kick, he should be the man taking responsibility.

Barnet vs Dagenham– Angelo Balanta (9/2)

Daggers boss Daryl McMahon has said that Balanta was only withdrawn as a precaution in the midweek win over Kings Lynn and has trained without issue all week ahead.

The Colombian has scored in each of his sides last four wins, of which there have been in the last three successive games, opening the scoring once and is another player who should be grabbing the ball if there is a penalty awarded for his side against the rock bottom Bees.

King’s Lynn vs Maidenhead – Danilo Orsi-Dadomo (11/2)

You have to feel sorry for Lynn, who have most of their squad on furlough and have lost a few others to ease their financial burden.

Patchworking a side together as well as knowing they will not be relegated whatever their results has seen them open up a little more than would be the norm and as a result Ian Culverhouse’s side have shipped 16 goals in their last 5 outings – conceding four in three of those games.

Danilo Orsi-Dadomo could be the man to take advantage of that this weekend having scored six goals in his last four appearances including his first hat-trick for Alan Devonshire’s team.

About Author

Having had a passion for football for as long as I can remember – I’m talking Shoot League Ladders here – one of my first “bets” is still my biggest win. After begging my mum to let me fill in her pools coupon so I could show off my knowledge, eight draws later and a cheque for £11,500 was soon in the post. As a Norwich fan it’s important to have a good grasp of what’s going on in the lower leagues and I also like exploring those less popular leagues to have a delve into any stats-based markets that are available. Right now, I’m particularly enjoying player bets. Outside of sport, I love eating and drinking - maybe a little too much - as well as listening to a varied spectrum of music, both from the comfort of my own home and at festivals.
