WOLVES host Brentford in Saturday's curtain-raising clash from the Premier League. Chris Clark (@ChrisClark1975) shares his verdict.

Wolves vs Brentford | Saturday 18th September 2021, 12:30 | BT Sport

Since Wolves have returned to the Premier League, they have won 6 out of 8 home matches against the promoted sides. Their only defeat coming in a derby against West Brom last season.
Wolves have been piling in the shots so far this season, they've had 71 and only Liverpool and Man City have had more. However they've only hit the back of the net twice this season, and one of those was an own goal!  Surely their luck is about to turn?
Whilst Raul Jimenez has had the most shots for Wolves so far, with 13, it's the wide-man Trincao who interests me, as he has had seven shots on target (out of 10 in total). He's got good accuracy and I fancy the tricky winger to score anytime against the Bees and open his account for the season. He's best priced 3/1 with Paddy Power and Unibet.

With Wolves direct and pacy attacking play, especially with the elusive Traore breaking at speed on the break, there is a fair chance that Brentford could well pick up a few cards in disrupting play. Christian Norgaard has so far committed 8 fouls this season and has picked up two yellow cards. The Dane is best priced at 12/5 with BetVictor to add to his booking tally. That's certainly worth a look.

Don't expect many goals on Saturday afternoon, but you fancy Wolves to build on their win at Watford with a comfortable home victory against Thomas Frank's men, with that man Trincao finally getting on the act.

Best Bets

Wolves vs Brentford – Francisco Trincao to score (3/1 Paddy Power)

Wolves vs Brentford – Christian Norgaard to be carded (12/5 BetVictor)

I had a strange introduction to the world of gambling. My early summer holidays I was packed off to my grandad's for a few weeks - little did I know that those weeks were spent inside the local Ladbrokes listening to the afternoon racing, so you could say the world of betting has been ingrained from an early age. For my sins, I'm a Tottenham supporter. I've supported them through thick and thin....mainly thin.
