Queen’s Park vs Annan | Tuesday 13th April 2021, 19:00

Since the Scottish lower leagues returned on the 20th March, Queen's Park have been imperious and have been a very profitable avenue for me to explore – thanks initially to a little help from my friend!

Ray McKinnon has not so much guided his side to the top of the table, that doesn’t do the explosive nature in which they have dominated the league justice, sitting 12 points clear of their nearest rivals, dropping just four points having won 13 and drawn two of their 15 fixtures.

The Spiders have reeled off six successive league victories, only conceding their first goal in that sequence at the weekend and that was from the penalty spot, after being reduced to 10 men in the 46th minute.

With odds for a seventh win as prohibitive as 1/5 you may think we need a multi layered Bet Builder or similar to get close to even money – well think again.

Queen's Park to be leading at both the half time and full-time whistle is available with Bet 365 at 10/11 which really caught my attention when you consider that bet landed in ALL of those recent six victories.

Annan are currently just one place off the foot of the League Two table having managed two wins and five draws from their 15 games so far but are yet to register a win since the restart of action (W0, D3, L2), they were also eliminated from the Scottish Cup by Highland League side Formartine Utd – certainly not form to concern the runaway leaders.

With form this good I can’t overlook it for my Bet of the Day.

Having had a passion for football for as long as I can remember – I’m talking Shoot League Ladders here – one of my first “bets” is still my biggest win. After begging my mum to let me fill in her pools coupon so I could show off my knowledge, eight draws later and a cheque for £11,500 was soon in the post. As a Norwich fan it’s important to have a good grasp of what’s going on in the lower leagues and I also like exploring those less popular leagues to have a delve into any stats-based markets that are available. Right now, I’m particularly enjoying player bets. Outside of sport, I love eating and drinking - maybe a little too much - as well as listening to a varied spectrum of music, both from the comfort of my own home and at festivals.
