FOOTBALL JOURNALIST Adam Goodwin (@agjournalism) has analysed the Champions League contest between Tottenham and Inter Milan at Wembley on Wednesday night in search of value.

Both of these sides sit in third in their respective leagues, and this should be a great game, with both needing a result at Wembley on Wednesday night.

Spurs dispatched of the previously undefeated Chelsea on Saturday evening, and perhaps put their name amongst the title contenders after that 3-1 win.

Tottenham's only two defeats in their last 13 games have been to Barcelona and Manchester City, so they’re clearly in a good run of form. I was sceptical about their performances during the first couple of months of the season, but after that result on Saturday, I’m ready to take them as a serious force.

Spurs must win this game to stay in contention of qualifying for the knockout rounds of this competition, and I think that’s enough motivation for Mauricio Pochettino’s men to get a result.

With Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Heung-min Son on top form at the minute, I think they should have enough to take it down to the last gameweek at the Camp Nou.

Inter Milan

Inter Milan know that a draw would be enough here, but they know that coming here and playing out a 0-0 is far from easy. I think Luciano Spalletti will go out to win this game and make sure they finish the job, so I can see a pretty open game.

Their last away game in Serie A was a 4-1 defeat to Atalanta and were beaten 2-0 away at Barcelona in their previous Champions League game, so Spalletti will be looking to find some form and grab a result at Wembley.

Mauro Icardi is clearly their star man and I’m a fan of Ivan Perisic, but other than that, I’m not sure who else could step up and take this game by the scruff of the net for Inter.

The betting angle

I’ll back Spurs here, and after their result on Saturday against Chelsea, I think they’ll be in a buoyant mood ahead of this one. Pochettino will just want to be able to go to the Nou Camp with an opportunity to qualify, and will be demanding a win, and what he wants from his players, he usually gets.

Inter have benefited from Spurs’ slow start in this competition, and I think Tottenham are the better side, so I like the look of the 7/10 (Bet365) available on the home side to grab a win on Wednesday night.

I got into betting through my love of sport and started as soon as I turned 18. Football is the main sport I bet on and I like to try out new and obscure markets to try and find value. You can't beat a 8-fold accumulator on a Saturday though! I support Reading and try to get to as many games as possible when I'm back home from university.
