Swansea v Aston Villa | Saturday 17:30 | Sky Sports 1

There seems to have been a spate of unsexy matches live on TV in the last few weeks and here's another example as 16th place Swansea face 20th place Aston Villa.

The bottom side have been incredibly poor this season and their stumble towards the Championship should be confirmed in the next few weeks. A sad end to a near three decade run in the top-flight.

Villa have lost five matches in a row and seven of the last eight. They sit eight points adrift at the bottom of the table and nine points from safety in 17th place.

With Sunderland in good form and Newcastle bringing in Rafael Benitez as manager they really have absolutely no chance of getting their head above water.

Their run of form has been appalling but in their defence their fixture list has given them some tough assignments with Tottenham, Man City (away) and a resurgent Everton in their last three games.

Before those three games they managed just a one goal loss to Stoke at the Britannia and beat Norwich three weeks before that at Villa Park. Hey, it's something to cling onto.

The problem for Vila here is that their opponents Swansea have been in decent form at last too like the teams above and another win here should put them even closer to safety.

Since Francesco Guidolin took the reigns back in January his side have lost just three of their nine league matches and have looked a lot more robust.

His time at the club began with wins over Watford and Everton before draws with West Brom and Crystal Palace. Defeats followed against Southampton and at Tottenham before vital wins over Arsenal and Norwich.

Chalked up around the 4/6 mark I'm a little uneasy about taking that price on a side in the bottom five of the table. In truth I'm struggling to find the right bet in this game at the prices available so I'm just going to chuck three Correct Scores into the fire and keep my fingers crossed.

These picks cover the possibility of a flat couldn't-give-a-shit performance from Aston Villa and a display that sees emerge with a little bit of credit. As mentioned above, their fixtures have been tough of late and they could be competitive here.

Dutching all three of these picks would result in a profit around the 13/8 mark at the worst if one of them goes in and that's more attractive than the 11/10 on exactly 2-3 goals.
