Serie A Tips | 12th-13th September 2015

OUR man in Italy Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) is back with his best bets for this weekend's Serie A.

Frosinone v Roma | Saturday 17:00 | BT Sport 2

I cannot visualise any other result than a Roma win here as the giallorossi play against probably the weakest side in the league. Frosinone have just been promoted from Serie B but so far they look way out of their depth.

I can't see this side staying in Serie A this season and they have a hell of a task on their hands here when Roma turn up to play. With the likes of Edin Dzeko, Francesco Totti and Mohammed Salah in ebullient form things could get messy for Frosinone.

Roma are best price 4/9 to take the three points here but I'll happily back them -1 and back them at odds against 11/10 with Ladbrokes. Watch out Frosinone!

Verona v Torino | Sunday 11:30 | BT Sport Europe

Verona and Torino have both been outstanding over the last two seasons, especially Torino who had a brilliant Europa League campaign under impressive coach Giampiero Ventura.

Both these sides love to attack when they meet medium to low quality sides and are fantastic to back in Overs and BTTS markets. You see where I'm going with this?

The last time these two sides met in Verona it ended up 3-1 to Torino in what was a terrific match. I can see a similar outcome occurring on Sunday and I'm backing Over 2.5 Goals at Evens with Bet365.

Empoli v Napoli | Sunday 14:00 | BT Sport Extra

This is a poignant match on Sunday as new Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri returns to his beloved Empoli seeking three points. This could be emotional.

I really liked Empoli last season and I think they've been a fantastic addition to the Italian top flight since being promoted. But with the departure of Sarri I was keen to take them on this season and backed them to go down.

It hasn't been straight-forward for Sarri since he joined Napoli and his new team are finding it hard to adapt to his calcio. Napoli have picked up just a single point in their two games so far and their defence looks incredibly suspect. They've conceded four goals already!

Their attacking quality is wonderful though and that's what I'm centring my betting view on. I expect Napoli to create a lot of opportunities here and punish a weak Empoli side and will back them to win in an Over 2.5 game.

Lazio v Udinese | Sunday 17:00 | BT Sport 2

Lazio have been one of the most disappointing team of the season so far. They're already out of the Champions League and have yet to offer a glimpse of the same quality of football we appreciated last year.

I'm not really expecting things to change for them this weekend. They didn't really embrace the transfer window and look light up front and shaky in defence.

The Roman club also appear to be suffering with injury problems and I'm happy to back Udinese at 3/4 with Coral to find the back of the net in this game.
