Serie A: Marco Di Cosmo highlights three Saturday sizzling selections

0

OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) looks to continue his hot streak in Serie A with his best Saturday selections.

Roma v Udinese| Saturday 14:00

Roma won effortlessly against Benevento on Wednesday showing how some teams in Serie A are really not equipped to compete with top clubs.

Udinese is not equal to Benevento, but still, their chances become very low when travelling to Rome on this early Saturday match.

The Bianconeri have some fine potential up-front, with Jakub Jankto especially a very interesting prospect.

Roma has kept a clean sheet in their last three matches, but I reckon they might concede something today, given the offensive mentality that their coach is trying to build around this team.

Nevertheless, their victory seems not to be in doubt, so I am considering backing the Giallorossi to win with Over 2.5 goals added to get a more attractive price.

SPAL v Napoli| Saturday 17:00

I think similarly for Napoli on their travel to Ferrara where SPAL will be playing their third home match in their Serie A season.

They’ve won the opener against Udinese, 3- while losing 2-0 to Cagliari.

Despite appreciating mentality of this team, I do give them very little chances today, and I’ll consider the same outcome I’ve worked out for Udinese against Napoli.

Also, backing goals in this one is a must with Napoli involved. The Partenopei have scored almost 4 goals per game, and their chances for a title are becoming more and more credible.

Back them to win and more than two goals in this game.

Juventus v Torino | Saturday 19:45 | BT Sport

Finally, the most intriguing match of this Serie A week, the Turin derby.

Juventus will host the Granata at the Allianz Arena, a stadium that has been a fortress since its inception. Some good news for Torino is that Juve are conceding a bit more in defense this season, the bad news is that their attack is more and more impressive with 14 goals combined in their first 5 matches.

Juventus have yet to concede a single goal on their ground, but they’ve been exploited in both of their two travels so far, at Sassuolo and Genoa.

I think Torino have the ability to stress their defensive organization, with the explosive talent of Andrea Belotti and the talented wingers behind him.

That is why I simply like to back both teams to find the net, and enjoy such an intriguing match.
