Serie A: Expect Genoa to feel Milan’s ire this Saturday

OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) looks to continue his hot streak in Serie A with his best Saturday selections.

Torino v Inter | Saturday 17:00

Inter v Atalanta was absolutely a cracker as expected but the fun lasted less than an hour for Atalanta who were thrashed by five goals at the end of the first half.

Inter are rolling even better in their attacks with the support of Ever Banega who is constantly having a key role in the squad. His vision and passes have always been of premium quality but he’s also scored three in the last meeting showing a surprising confidence in goal scoring.

Inter will bring those convincing attributes to Turin, where the home side come from a 3-1 defeat against Lazio. Their home trend is something remarkable though, having lost only one game out of 13, against Juventus. So I think they will put up a fight that maybe won’t be enough to stop Inter’s form.

What I expect to be guaranteed are goals when Torino are involved, as usual. So given the scoring standards often mentioned here, and given the fact that Inter will exploit Torino’s defence at least once backing both teams to score and Over 2.5 goals should be a banker for me.

AC Milan v Genoa | Saturday 19:45 | BT Sport Europe

Milan were extremely close to stopping Juventus’ record at home, but they were unluckly as they were denied by a doubtful penalty in injury times which granted Juventus the win last week and made the rossoneri furious against referee.

For this reason Carlos Bacca, who had scored the 1-1 equalizer, will be suspended for this match, but the rossoneri have anyway proved to be consistent with or without him.

The Colombian international is surely a fine finisher, but the likes of Gerard Delofeu and Gianluca Lapadula should be a sufficient menace for Genoa, who have a very poor record away from home, and generally are having one of their worst season since years. Their only victory in last three months was against Empoli, so I think Milan won’t have many problems to stop the grifoni here.
