Scottish Premiership Prediction & Betting Tips: Goals forecast for Celtic Park

SCOTTISH football aficionado Gerry Taylor (@thefurlongpole) shares his verdict on the midweek Premiership action,

Hibs vs Rangers | Wednesday 1st December 2021, 19:45 | Sky Sports

This clash comes hot on the heals of the League Cup semi final, that Hibs won comfortably 3-1.

Prior to that, Rangers won in the league game at Ibrox, that saw the well-talked about sending off, of Hibs centre back Ryan Porteous. So there has been a fair bit of banter flying around over the weeks now from fans and players.

So, with the prolific John Beaton in the middle for this one, cards should surely be on the menu, in what should be a tasty battle under the lights at a packed out Easter Road.

Beaton’s league games have produced 5/2/9/6/8/2/5/3/3/6 cards this season.

So Betfred’s Pick Your Punt bet builder is offering 5/4 for both teams over 19.5 bookings points, so with all the teams previous, that might be worth taking.

Aberdeen vs Livingston | Wednesday 1st December 2021, 19:45

In a game that’s tricky to call, the 4/1 chalked up for the visitors does seem a tad on the big side.

You wouldn’t be rushing to lump on the Dandies at odds on, especially when you look at their last 16 games – with only 2 wins. Dons boss Stephen Glass is coming under more by the week, and with Scott Brown hobbling off injured at the weekend, that wont help things.

Livingston’s last four away away trips have produced an excellent W2 D2 L0 sequence(including Celtic), so for that reason SBK’s 11/10 for the Lions Double Chance, seems a nice way into this clash.

Celtic vs Hearts | Thursday 2nd December 2021, 19:45 | Sky Sports

The Jam Tarts have already given The Hoops a couple of good games, this term. Winning the first league encounter 2-1 at Tynecastle, then running Celtic close in a narrow 3-2 defeat in the league cup at Celtic Park. So, another, close, very competitive match up could be on the cards here.

The ‘Tic games have had goals in them of late, with 5/7 recent games, seeing both sides score.

The Jambos have been scoring plenty this season, netting in 18/20 of their matches.

Hence the 19/20 Betway are offering for both teams to score, looks a nice price to me,
