Hibernian are in the Scottish League Cup final and it is, most definitely, through gritted teeth that I congratulate them on that achievement.
The Hibees defeated St Johnstone at Tynecastle (I'm hoping that they'll have a miserable time in Gorgie this weekend) to set up a Hampden showdown with Celtic…or, at least, that's what most of us thought would be the case.
Ross County, though, had different ideas as they claimed a 3-1 win against Ronny Deila's 10-man side in Glasgow.
County, like Hibs, will be dreaming of the possibility of a domestic cup double – and Jim McIntyre's side will surely take a step towards that achievement this weekend when they host junior side Linlithgow Rose in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.
Rose have done fantastically well just to reach this stage of the competition but, with the home side chalked up at 1/16 to win the clash in Dingwall, this is surely where the story ends for Davie McGlynn and his team.
With the Staggies looking like certainties to take their place in the last eight, I've been digging a little deeper and I have managed to unearth what looks like a gem.
The Premiership side can be backed at 10/11 (Paddy Power) to win both halves against Rose on Saturday afternoon.
It's a staggering price considering that County have won nine of their last 13 home matches in all competitions, thrashed a very good Championship side – Falkirk – 7-0 in the League Cup on home soil and have scored in every one of their competitive home matches so far this season.
We'd all love to see a bit of Scottish Cup romance this weekend – but it won't be at Dingwall.
