ON a sensational run of form, Willie Duncan (@Willie_Duncan) returns with a tip from the big match in Scotland this weekend.

Aberdeen v Celtic | Sunday 12.30 | Sky Sports 4

One of the key themes of this Premiership season has been Celtic's lethargy in the league match directly after a Europa League tie. On Thursday night they played in Romania against Astra Giurgiu and they'll have to get back in shape quickly as they face in-form Aberdeen in the Sunday lunchtime SPFL match.

So far this season, Celtic have followed up European ties with two wins, two draws and two defeats, so it's difficult to know what to expect on Sunday afternoon.

Aberdeen are also a difficult team to work out this season. They were leaking too many goals at the start of the campaign, but Derek McInnes seems to have sorted things out after their shocking 3-0 defeat to Hamilton three weeks ago. Since then, they've kept three successive clean sheets all wrapped up in 1-0 wins. Encouraging form as they head into this big tie.

With all that evidence to hand, Under 2.5 Goals looks the obvious pick, but delving into the history of these match-ups makes me a little uneasy as they have been full of goals.

I'll take a leaf out of my colleague Mark O'Haire‘s book by playing the Total Goals market. Mark masterminded this market two weeks ago during El Clasico when he predicted we'd see three or four goals that night. I'll follow in his path, but side with two or three goals for this Pittodrie clash.

It's 11/10 with Ladbrokes and I think that's a superb price. Aberdeen don't score many and don't concede many either, while Celtic had kept five clean sheets before Thursday night's game but have the goal threat of John Guidetti in their arsenal.

Best Bet

Aberdeen v Celtic – Between 2 and 3 Goals Scored (11/10 Ladbrokes)
