Scottish Football: Thistle look value to break Jambos hearts, says Mr Fixit

THE DAILY RECORD'S Mr Fixit (@mrfixitstips) picks out his three best bets in Scotland this weekend.

Partick v Hearts | Saturday 15:00

Hearts crashed to a shocking Scottish Cup exit on Wednesday and Ian Cathro has just two full days to pick up his troops.

The Jambos were blown away 3-1 by Hibs and the manner of defeat must be a concern for the rookie boss. Cathro bought time with a 4-1 thumping of Rangers but there have been few highlights since he replaced Robbie Neilson.

He takes his side to Partick on Saturday and the home men look big at 2/1 with Matchbook. The Jags have won back-to-back games against Hamilton and St Johnstone and are just one point off Dundee in sixth.

Hearts have a decent record at Firhill – three wins in a row – but Cathro maybe trying to introduce too many new players at the same time.

While Thistle can win keep the stalemate onside and take them draw no bet at 11/10 with Ladbrokes.

Celtic v Hamilton | Saturday 15:00

Champions-elect Celtic didn't manage as many goals as expected against Motherwell last week with Brendan Rodgers citing a poor playing surface.

It can't have improved in the past week so best bet against Hamilton is Celtic to win ‘to nil’ at 8/11 with Paddy Power.

Celtic have kept five clean sheets in six games and this season have beaten Accies 1-0 at home and 3-0 away.

Dundee United v Morton | Saturday 15:00

A big game in the Championship table with both sides trying to reel in leaders Hibs.

Morton will leapfrog second-placed United with a win but Jim Duffy's men have faded a bit with just one victory in four.

United will tempt some at 17/20 with Ladbrokes but Both Teams To Score is the same price so I'm on that with the last two meetings this season finishing 2-1 to the home team.

Best Bets

Partick v Hearts – Partick draw no bet (11/10 Ladbrokes)

Celtic v Hamilton – Celtic to win ‘to nil’ (8/11 Paddy Power)

Dundee United v Morton – Both Teams To Score (17/20 Ladbrokes)
