DAILY RECORD star Mr Fixit (@mrfixittps) returns with his best bets from Wednesday night's League Cup action in Scotland.

Scottish League Cup | Wednesday 25th September 2019

Imagine these two semi-finals – Celtic v Rangers and Hibs v Hearts. League Cup sponsors Betfred would be thrilled with that line-up and while the former is possible the latter is unlikely.

The Old Firm have been sweeping all before them so I don't see Partick Thistle and Livingston putting up much resistance.

Hibs though are up against it at Killie and Hearts face another test when Aberdeen visit Tynecastle.

Killie could be best bets on the night at 11/10 with Betway. Hibs have taken one point in 15 while Killie are unbeaten in five after a shaky start under Angelo Alessio.

Eamonn Brophy netted at Parkhead on Saturday and is 15/8 at bet365 to strike again.

Hearts climbed off the foot with Sunday's derby success and beat the Dons at home twice last season so will be confident but I'm on a draw in 90 minutes at 9-4 (Bet365).

Celtic are no bigger than 1/10 at bet365 at home to Thistle who will be watched by new boss Ian McCall.

Neil Lennon's likely to ring the changes and if he starts consider Vakoun Bayo to score first at 16-5. I don't think it will be a rout with Celtic not in top gear but I can see the holders winning by three. Celtic -2 pays 4/5 at Sportingbet.

Rangers will be on many accas at 4-11 but could be pushed if Gerrard leaves out too many of his main men. Livi lost 3-1 at Ibrox recently with 10 men and Gers to again cover the -1 handicap pays 11/10 at Paddy Power

Jermain Defoe could start and if he does back him at 3/1 with Bet365 to score first after hitting a double off the bench at the weekend.

Best Bets

Hearts v Aberdeen – Draw (9/4 Bet365)

Celtic v Partick – Celtic -2 handicap (4/5 Sportingbet)

Kilmarnock v Hibs – Kilmarnock to win (11/10 Betway)

Livingston v Rangers – Jermain Defoe to score first (3/1 Bet365)
