Scottish Football: Mr Fixit bids for a fifth profitable weekend in six

THE DAILY RECORD'S Mr Fixit (@mrfixitstips) picks out his three best bets in Scotland this weekend, chasing a fifth profitable weekend in six.

Rangers v Hearts | Saturday 15:00

What a difference 10 days makes.

Last Wednesday Rangers were stunned by Hearts in Robbie Neilson's final match – but this weekend they start hot favourites with Ian Cathro in charge.

Rangers recovered from a dismal display to beat Aberdeen 2-1 at home with Mark Warburton ripping up his coaching manual. He found Plan B and it involved less pretty patterns and several changes that made his side more solid.

Clint Hill will be missed at the back but I expect more of the same from Rangers and it could be too much for young boss Cathro on his managerial debut.

He'll need time to bed in and sort out a Jambos defence that's conceded 10 goals in their last five away matches.

Rangers to score Over 1.5 Goals is 11/12 with 888 and that's my pick.

Dundee v Ross County | Saturday 15:00

Dundee are going for a third straight home win after stopping the rot that had them propping up the Premiership.

They're still only a point above the basement in a ridiculously tight bottom half and the visit of seventh-placed County should see goals.

Both teams have scored in six of County's last seven matches and that's the call here at 11/13 with 888.

Falkirk v Queen of the South | Saturday 15:00

New Queens boss Gary Naysmith has a tough job on his hands – his debut defeat to bottom club St Mirren in midweek made it four losses on the bounce for the Palmerston men.

They're winless in nine in the Championship and unlikely to have any joy at Falkirk.

The third-placed Bairns have strung together back-to-back wins to make it four games unbeaten and look banker material at 19/20 with Betway.

Best Bets

Rangers v Hearts – Rangers to score Over 1.5 Goals (11/12 888)

Dundee v Ross County – Both Teams To Score (11/13 888)

Falkirk v Queen of the South – Falkirk to win (19/20 Betway)
