DAILY RECORD star Mr Fixit (@mrfixittps) returns with his best bets from the weekend's Scottish football card.

Queen Of The South v Dundee United | Saturday 4th January 2020, 15:00

The Championship is never easy to call – take last weekend for example when all four of Saturday's games were away wins from four of the bottom five.

In my book Dundee United have already clinched the title after carving out a 14-point lead but face a tough test at Queen of the South.

Their first defeat of the season was a 4-0 thumping in Dumfries and with Queens striker Stephen Dobbie back among the goals United look a little short at odds on – McBookie offer best price at 5/6.

Instead, back Both Teams To Score at similar odds of 4/5 with William Hill.

Airdrie v Forfar | Saturday 4th January 2020, 15:00

League One is producing a fascinating title race with just three points separating the top four.

On paper second-placed Airdrie have the easiest game at home to second-bottom Forfar and are 7/10 at William Hill.

However, Forfar won 2-0 in Lanarkshire at the start of the season and with their last three games producing 18 goals I'd rather be on Over 2.5 Goals at 8/11 with Sky Bet.

Raith v Peterhead | Saturday 4th January 2020, 15:00

League One leaders Raith are aiming to beat Peterhead at home for a fourth time this season and look decent value at 19/20 with Betfred.

The hosts will have loan striker and top scorer Jamie Gullan – eight goals in 16 games – making his final appearance before returning to parent club Hibs.

Best Bets

Queen Of The South v Dundee United – Both Teams To Score (4/5 William Hill)

Airdrie v Forfar – Over 2.5 Goals (8/11 Sky Bet)

Raith v Peterhead – Raith to win (19/20 Betfred)
