Scottish Football – Back Killie to rack up a couple, Says Mr Fixit

THE Daily Record's Mr Fixit (@mrfixittps) casts his eye over the weekend's Scottish football fixtures…

Kilmarnock v Hamilton | Saturday 31st March 2018, 15:00

Killie have the Premiership’s highest scorer in veteran striker Kris Boyd – he was 66/1 antepost to be top marksman and is now 11/8 – and a strong Manager of Year candidate in Stevie Clarke.

The club’s run of two defeats in 18 has cemented a top-six place and Boyd will again be out to show Scotland boss Alex McLeish he’s worth a look when Hamilton come calling on Saturday.

For the first time in ages Killie are odds on against an Accies side who had midweek action at St Johnstone.

Killie have scored 2+ in six of their eight last eight at home in the league and I’m backing them to net at least a couple again at 5/6 with Betfair.

Peterhead v Clyde | Saturday 31st March 2018, 15:00

In League Two Montrose and Peterhead are tied at the top but Montrose have a game in hand and the easier game today against Edinburgh City.

Peterhead are ridiculously short at 4/9 to beat on-form Clyde at home. Clyde are massive at 5/1 at Coral and I’m on them draw no bet at 4/1 with Paddy Power.

Danny Lennon’s side have closed in on the play-offs thanks to a run of five wins and a draw in six since losing 2-1 at Peterhead in January.

It should be close so 5/1 and 4/1 are too big.

Raith v Albion | Saturday 31st March 2018, 15:00

In League One it’s a fascinating fight for the title between Ayr and Raith.

Ayr remain five clear with five games to go and Raith haven’t been as convincing but at home have won 13 out of 15 so should see off an Albion Rovers side on a run of four defeats.

Albion have lost four of their last six away games by two goals or more and I’m taking Raith -1 at 15/13 with BetBright.

Best Bets

Kilmarnock v Hamilton – Kilmarnock to score Over 1.5 Goals (5/6 Betfair)

Peterhead v Clyde – Clyde draw no bet (4/1 Paddy Power)

Raith v Albion – Raith -1 handicap (15/13 BetBright)
