Scottish Football: A sting in the tail for the Wasps, says Dino Vita

PRO PUNTER Dino Vita (@VitaDino) is delving in to the Scottish Championship for his latest weekend NAP.

Ayr v Alloa | Saturday 4th May 2019, 15:00

My selection comes from the Scottish Championship on Saturday as promotion-chasing Ayr host relegation-threatened Alloa. It’s the final weekend of the regular season and it’s all still to play for in the second-tier.

Ayr, who pushed champions Ross County most of the season, have had to settle for a play-off spot. The hosts sit in third, level on points with fourth-place Inverness who they’ll face next week in the first round of play-off games.

Right now, Ayr will have home advantage in the second leg so they know a victory over Alloa will guarantee this privilege unless Inverness win at least 7-0 over Morton, or the hosts fluff their lines here of course.

Alloa sit in ninth, three points ahead of Falkirk but with a worse goal differen,ce so they know if they lose and Falkirk beat Ross County they’ll go down automatically.

The Wasps have lost their last two games and head to Ayr looking for a point, which will be very tough, so I think they will need to hope Ross County do them a favour, which isn’t a given seeing as they’ll be in party mood following their title success last weekend.

All things considered, Ayr are overpriced at 2/1 (Bet365).
