Coventry v Notts County | Friday 18th May 2018, 19:45 | Sky Sports
It was honours even in the first leg after a controversial McNulty penalty for Coventry cancelled out a Forte goal. Notts will be hoping that what they feel is an injustice will not cost them as they aim to return to League 1. The Sky Blues will be trying to get a result away from home to put them in the final of the League Two playoffs.
If this game is anything like the first leg both teams will have chances to score, both teams have potent attacks and know that on their day, they can give any opposing team nightmares. In the league, Notts County had the joint-third best home form, only losing two games at Meadow Lane all season.
However, Coventry won three of their last five away games towards the end of the regular season, including a 6-1 thrashing of Cheltenham.
With not much to choose from and both teams knowing they can score, there is evidence to suggest that even after 90 minutes, there may not be a winner. Betvictor are offering 18/5 on both teams to score and the result being a draw.
With the controversy from the first leg, the referee may have that in the back of his mind. This may cause him to make a rash decision and try and ‘even’ up the injustice of the McNulty penalty. It may also be worth having a small flutter on there to be a penalty in the game at 3/1.
