OUR Monday night man Tom Selwyn returns with a pick from the Baltimore @ Cleveland game.

Baltimore Ravens @ Cleveland Browns | Tuesday 01:30 | Sky Sports 1

Yikes, what a horrible match-up this looks to be for a prime time game on Monday night. To be fair to the schedulers, I don’t think anyone could have envisioned the amount of injuries that both teams have had to endure. The Ravens in particular have been decimated and will be without QB Joe Flacco, RB Justin Forsett and WR Steve Smith – all the main starters at their respective positions – for this game.

This means that Matt Schaub will be starting at QB for the Ravens and that could spell trouble for Baltimore as Schaub has been an INT machine when’s he been on the field in recent years. With this in mind, I’ll be backing the Ravens to have the most turnovers in this one.

The last time that Schaub was a starter was in the 2013 season for the Texans, where he threw 14 INTs in only 10 games. Things have not improved much for Schaub since he became a backup and in the 2014 season when he was with the Raiders he threw two INTs in the two games he played (0 as a starter). Indeed, one of those INTs was the only pass he attempted in the game.

To me, Schaub seems like he’s past it as watching some of his more recent INTs it looks like he just doesn’t have the arm-strength to fit the ball in tight windows anymore. Even with CB Joe Haden out for the Browns, I can’t envisage a clean game from Schaub in relief of Flacco.
