Kansas City Chiefs @ Baltimore Ravens| Tuesday 22nd September 2020, 00:15 | Sky Sports

What a game we have lined up for this Monday night; the reigning Super Bowl champion Chiefs going up against the Ravens who a lot of people think – including myself – are the best team in the league right now. It’s Mahomes vs. Jackson and it should be a superb game that I would wager everyone is excited for.

It seems crazy that Chiefs are underdogs in any game, but the Ravens have earned that with a seemingly unstoppable offense and an improving defence headlined by the arrival of Calais Campbell on the DL.

And by their own lofty standards Kansas City has failed to light it up on offense so far this season, sitting well below where you would expect them to be in terms of points and yards. Mahomes himself has only one completion over 20 yards this season and that is not the Mahomes that we know. The Chiefs will get it right I’m sure, but I much prefer to trust the Ravens in this one.

Indeed, I like Baltimore to Score in Every Quarter (6/4 Bet365as I really think they match up well at certain positions against Kansas City. Specifically I think Mark Andrews at TE and the plethora of talented RBs they’ve accrued should have a distinct advantage against the Chiefs LBs. This is without factoring in Jackson’s ability to run the ball and the scramble too, which can give any defence fits.

They’ve got form for this too, having scored in all eight quarters so far in this nascent season. All streaks have to come to an end of course, but I’m more than willing to trust one of the best offenses in the league against a pretty average defence.

I sort of wish this game was later in the season so it had a bit more meaning, but either way it should be a fun one!
