NFL nut Kyle Robins (@AhhYeahKyleYeah) shares his expert opinion on the best bets available from Monday Night Football as Kansas City Chiefs head to Los Angeles Rams.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Rams | Tuesday 20th November 2018, 01:15 | Sky Sports

Well.. .Where do I begin with this game? There’s so many potential angles of attack, its actually quite ridiculous. So I’ll try and keep it short and to the point.

In what is one of, if not, the most anticipated offensive shootouts of years gone by, Patrick Mahomes leads his Kansas City Chiefs into Los Angeles to face-off against the 9-1 Rams.

The game was originally set to be played in Mexico City, but only to be brought back to LA after the turmoil surrounding the state of the pitch in Mexico. You would think that would benefit the Rams, being at home.

But make no mistake, away fans love dominating in the coliseum, and Chiefs fans will be out in numbers to keep up that tradition.

From a gameview standpoint, everything is pointing towards points, points, and maybe a few more points just for fun. With the line currently set at 57 (total points), I expect that to get closer to 60 come Monday evening.

With these teams ranking second (Rams) and third (Chiefs) in total offense and 13th (Rams) and 29th (Chiefs) in total defense, it’s no surprise as to the hype. Given those stats however, to a regular fan it would seem as If the Rams have the advantage given how higher they rank in defense.

And whilst that might be true, and they certainty have more talent on that side of the ball, Kansas City’s defense has certainty stiffened a little over recent weeks, all be it against lesser talented offensive teams than the Rams.

If there’s one clear area of struggle for this Kansas City squad, its containing the run. They rank 31s in run defense, and now face the almost impossible task of containing Todd Gurley and his scond-ranked Rams rushing offense, averaging 144 yards per-game on the ground.

Now picture that facing off against a team allowing close to 122 yards per-game on average on the ground, and things certainly look bleak for the Chiefs.

Given all of that and, well, the fact Gurley is just pretty unstoppable, I’m liking him to repeat a feat he’s achieved four times already this year, and score a brace against this Kansas City team, best priced at 10/11 with SkyBe.

Flipping the book to Mahomes and his Chiefs, the second year ‘rookie’ is continuing to rewrite the history books week-on-week, and looks set to be battling it out with my pre-season pick, Drew Brees, for MVP come seasons end.

The gunslinger leads the league with 3,150 yards, to go along with another league best, 31 touchdown passes, throwing for 300+ yards on 8/10 games this year. There’s seemingly no defense that can slow this offense down, and given that simple fact, and until somebody proves me wrong, I’m certainly taking Mahomes over his line of 310.5, priced at 10/11 with SkyBet.

Now the third and final area of attack comes through that of a SkyBet Request-a-Bet. I’ve talked enough about everything points related in this game, and whilst I’m not going away from that, I just won’t bore you with the statistics.

Both teams to score a touchdown and a field goal in each half, to me, looks a tad under-priced at 4/1, given the total points line being set so high. I’ll certainly be taking that.

Best Bets

Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Rams – Todd Gurley to score a brace (10/11 SkyBet)

Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Rams – Patrick Mahomes Over 310.5 Passing Yards (10/11 SkyBet)

Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Rams – Both teams to score a touchdown and field goal in each half (4/1 SkyBet)
