NFL: Five Red-Zone Sunday picks including the Jets flying up the field to give the Patriots a game

NFL nut Louis Ross (@LouisRoss67) shares his expert opinion on the best bets available from another exciting Red-Zone Sunday.

Chicago Bears at Baltimore Ravens | Sunday 18:00 | Sky Sports

The second start for Rookie QB Mich Trubisky who was impressive in the Thursday night loss at home to the Vikings. The Ravens defence should be able to put more than enough pressure on the young signal-caller. Expect plenty of Jordan Howard and far too many Chicago turnovers. Joe Flacco seems to have turned this offence around since the disaster at Wembley

Score prediction: Chicago Bears 13 – 26 Baltimore Ravens

Cleveland Browns at Houston Texans | Sunday 18:00 | Sky Sports

The Texans have been devastated by key injuries on their defence. JJ Watt and the criminally underrated Whitney Mercilus are out for the season. The outstanding Rookie QB De Shaun Watson will still have more than enough to beat a poor Browns outfit who have made yet another change at Quarterback.

Score prediction: Cleveland Browns 17 – 31 Houston Texans

Detroit Lions at New Orleans Saints | Sunday 18:00 | Sky Sports

Surely a good old-fashioned shootout in the Super Dome. I have been impressed with some of what the Saints have been doing this year, especially on defence. Yes, I said defence, impressed and Saints in the same sentence. Detroit gave Carolina a game last week but Stafford is struggling and with no ground game to speak of its hard to see them getting anything today.

Score prediction: Detroit Lions 21 – 28 New Orleans Saints

Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings | Sunday 18:00 | Sky Sports

Let us be clear, Aaron Rodgers has a dreadful record against the Vikings. The difficult thing in this game is deciding if Sam Bradford missing is a good or bad thing for Minnesota. He did not look right in his brief appearance in Chicago. The loss of Steffon Diggs added to that of Dalvin Cook severely dents what they can do with the ball. Rodgers is still the best QB in football.

Score prediction: Green Bay Packers 21 – 17 Minnesota Vikings

Miami Dolphins at Atlanta Falcons v Sunday 18:00 | Sky Sports

Just one question here. How many does Atlanta win by? Miami could be the worst team in the NFL.

Score prediction: Miami Dolphins 10 – 38 Atlanta Falcons

New England Patriots at New York Jets Sunday 18:00 | Sky Sports

With Rob Gronkowski good to go, I don't think there is any question that the Patriots will win again in New York. The main question from a betting point of view is how easy it will be. Brady has failed to cover 12 of the last 13 against the Jets. A 9 point start here is a real conundrum. I do think the Pats will regain top spot in the AFC East but the Jets have been doing some positive things on defence whilst New England cant stop anyone. Injury to Bilal Powell should see Elijah McGuire get plenty of the ball.

Score prediction: New England Patriots 21 – 16 New York Jets

San Francisco 49ers at Washington Redskins Sunday 18:00 | Sky Sports

Another game this week where the result does not seem in doubt but can the heavy favourite cover? Washington finds themselves an 11 point favourite against a Niners outfit that has lost 4 games by 3 points or less. Its hard to see much positive for San Fran here but Pierre Garcon and Kyle Shanahan will be extra motivated returning to the capital. Remember that Washington have Kirk Cousins under centre not Tom Brady

Score prediction: San Francisco 49ers 17 – 26 Washington Redskins
