New England Patriots @ New York Jets | Tuesday 22nd October 2019, 01:15 | Sky Sports

An AFC East match-up between the Jets and the Patriots for us this Monday night – one that should be a lot more competitive than the one we saw four weeks ago when Luke Falk was Quarterbacking the Jets. Sam Darnold is back under centre and looked good as he led the Jets to an upset win over the Cowboys last week, while Falk is no longer on a team at all.

It won’t be an easy game for Darnold, though, as he’ll be facing the #1 ranked Patriots defence that has only allowed three TDs through six weeks. Indeed, prior to last week, New England’s defence and special teams had scored more TDs than New York’s offense. They lead the league in INTs, are second in terms of sacks and have generally made life very difficult for whoever they’ve lined up against.

It’s lucky that the defence has been special for the Patriots as the offense has not been brilliant, at least so far, this year. They still sit at eighth in the league in terms of yards per-game, but they have not looked in sync for a lot of the year and clearly miss former TE Rob Gronkowski in both the pass and the run game. They’re also banged up at WR coming into this game, with Josh Gordon already ruled out and Julian Edelman questionable to play.

All signs point to the under in this game and I agree that it should be a low-scoring affair, so I’ll be backing Under 43.5 Points at even-money (Sportingbet) at Meadowlands.
